What are Zeke and Julie, our two wholesome teenage stars doing in a 16-bit game like this?! Trying to save the nice neighbors, cheerleaders and babies from a fate worse than polyester! Hey, where's that scary music coming from? Yikes! It's Zombies Ate My Neighbors, where you appear in every demented horror flick ever to make you hurl ju-jubes. The furthest point you’ve progressed to is saved to that character and you can return to that point at any moment. The cult classic Zombies Ate My Neighbors and its sequel make their long awaited return in Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol! Play these classics from the golden age of 16-bit gaming with new enhancements and never before seen museum features. However someone further along in the game can return to a previous level to assist another player. You can’t join an end-game host if you are just starting out, as the game progresses with your character. Players are also restricted to their current progress. Current generation and PC players can host and join anyone. So you’ll need a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X to host games on last generation. The interesting note here is that standard last generation players cannot host games, only join. So PS4/PS5, and Xbox One / Series consoles can play together. The game does not support cross platform play, but it does support cross gen play. Every time you pick a new Slayer you will need to complete this portion before unlocking co-op play. This takes about 20 minutes to get to, maybe less if you speed-run your way there. The Co-op campaign will be unlocked after you progress to the first major checkpoint in the game. All the details were released on the official Dead Island 2 site. The game releases April 21st and you will be able to tackle most of the campaign with a friend, or two. If you are excited to finally (and we mean finally) get to slaying zombies on Dead Island 2, well get ready to do it with friends. Check out the details on the upcoming zombie slaying adventure.
